NEKO Cat Cafe was blown away when we heard about an incredible cat that helped a lost Hungarian walker in Gimmelwald (the Swiss Alps) find his way back to the road.
The man posted his encounter with the cat on Reddit last week, stating, "I was checking my map to see how I [could] get back to the hostel, and the only official way down was through a trail that was closed. And that's how I met that handsome cat."
The Hungarian man explained that he sprained his ankle and was taking a break to rest and eat a snack when the cat showed up. "As soon as I got up, she started guiding me along some path," he said.
This video shows the furry black and white guide playfully rolling around on the path before charging ahead of the walker, stopping every so often to make sure he was right behind.
Another Reddit user who goes by the name Vasyak, commented that, [they] just met this cat a couple days ago in Gimmelwald. Super friendly kitty." Later, another user stated that the guide kitty was family to the owners of Gimmelwald's close-by Mountain Hostel.
Moral of the story: cat's are freaking AMAZING little creatures.
